Sabina and Michael met in Columbus, Ohio while they were both students. A few days before a Halloween party, Michael noticed Sabina and was quietly smitten. When they saw each other again at the party, Michael came up to talk to her, and they spent most of the night laughing and getting to know each other. Sabina remembers thinking he was sweet and funny. They grew close quickly, becoming best friends just as much as partners — gentle, supportive, and deeply in tune with one another. There was no single defining moment, just the quiet certainty that life felt better together. Michael proposed at the Crane Estate in the Rose Garden after a beautiful picnic. While sitting among the roses, Sabina asked if he would build her a garden one day. He promised he would, and then asked her to marry him. They chose Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, where roses symbolize love and devotion. It felt like the perfect place to continue their story, honoring the rose garden where they got engaged.
Cocktail attire is suggested for the welcome dinner. For the wedding day, formal attire is requested (black tie optional).
Transportation to the wedding venue will be provided for all guests. If you prefer to arrive by taxi or car, onsite parking is available.
Spring in Verona is generally mild, though evenings can be cooler. Our welcome dinner will be hosted outdoors, and both the wedding day ceremony and cocktail hour are also planned to take place outside. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap. The reception and after-party will be held indoors.
Absolutely. Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies on your RSVP, and we will coordinate with the venue and caterer to ensure you are well accommodated.
Based on current fare trends, we recommend booking flights by January 26. Flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday often offers the best pricing. While Verona has a convenient regional airport, it is quite small. You may find better prices by flying into Venice or Milan and continuing to Verona by train.
